✅ Where It Works
Free shipping on Ketch Boards is available in the lower 48 United States only.
That means:
-
✅ Yes: Continental U.S.
-
❌ No: Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. Territories, or international addresses
💡 How It Works
Just order any Ketch Board, and shipping is free automatically—no code needed.
No hoops. No gimmicks. Just American-made boards delivered without extra fees (if you’re in the zone).
🎁 Bonus Tip
Live in the lower 48?
If there’s a board in your cart, everything else in the cart ships free too.
Stack it smart—get that plate, mount, or ID holder added while you’re at it.
🦅 Do You Offer a Military or First Responder Discount?
✅ Yes—we proudly do.
At Ketch, we’re proud to support those who serve—military personnel and first responders alike.
Whether you’re active-duty, a veteran, law enforcement, firefighter, or EMT, we offer a discount as a small token of appreciation.

Your product name/model

We respond fast (during business hours, and sometimes even on the weekends or at night, but don’t hold us to that) —and with actual answers, not canned replies.
⚠️ Pro Tip: Some installs (like hardwiring the Firefly Jr.) assume you’ve got basic rigging skills. If you’re not sure, ask us before you start or drill holes in your kayak.

✨ Keep Them Looking Sharp
Ketch parts made from raw (non-anodized) aluminum are tough and functional—but they will oxidize over time if exposed to moisture, salt, or UV without care. That dull gray haze? Totally normal—but also avoidable.
To keep them looking fresh:
-
Wipe them down regularly with a clean, dry cloth
-
For tougher grime or light oxidation for older parts watch the video below on how to refresh your Raw Aluminum parts
-
Avoid harsh chemicals or salt buildup
-
Store in a dry place when not in use
✅ Yes—But Only on our selection of Engravable Aluminum Boards
We offer custom engraving on select aluminum Ketch Boards. All custom engravable boards can be found here… Engravable Boards
These are laser-engraved in-house with tournament-grade precision—built to last and Uncompromisingly American Made.
❌ Not Available on Karbonate Boards, Limited Edition Boards or Some others
Our Karbonate boards are polycarbonate (our version of a “plastic” board), and engraving isn’t supported on that material. If you’re set on custom artwork, stick with aluminum.
Our Limited Edition Boards are already Custom Engraved and cannot be further customized.
Boards like the 40″, Folding 48 and Big Game 64″ are also unavailable for custom engraving.
🛒 Ready to Customize Yours?

👉 Shop Custom Engraved Boards
⚠️ Reminder: Custom engraved orders take 2–3 business weeks to process—custom precision takes time.
❌ Not at this time—and here’s why:
Due to current international tariff policies, we’ve paused direct international shipping.
In many cases, the import taxes and fees are high enough that international customers end up refusing delivery—leading to return issues, lost shipments, and damaged boards.
We’re proud to manufacture everything 100% in the USA, but right now that also means international shipping comes with extra cost and complexity that we can’t control—or guarantee.
Can I change or cancel my order?
Orders are processed quickly. Contact Us ASAP—if it hasn’t shipped, we’ll do our best to help.
Can I combine a board and other products or accessories for free shipping?
✅ Yes—if you live in the lower 48 and there’s a board in your cart, everything else ships free too.
📏 Do Ketch Boards Float?
Nope.
- Not the aluminum OG.
- Not the Ketch X.
- Not the Karbonate.
All Ketch Boards will sink—they’re built for accuracy, not buoyancy.
If it’s not leashed, it’s lost.
Use a tether—especially in deep water or current. It’s cheap insurance for a premium board.
👉 We recommend pairing your board with a Ketch Tether to keep it safe and retrievable. Grab one here.

🎣 Widely Accepted—But Always Double-Check
Ketch Boards are trusted and used by anglers in almost every major kayak tournament series nationwide.
From grassroots events to elite-level trails, our boards are the standard—but always check your local rules to be safe. Some trails may require metal boards only (which means the Karbonate wouldn’t be allowed), or restrict colors allowed, etc. So always read the rules of the event you’re fishing to ensure compliance and that your Ketch Board is accepted.
✅ National Trails That Approve All Ketch Boards (Including Karbonate):
-
KBF (Kayak Bass Fishing)
-
B.A.S.S. Nation Kayak Series
-
Kayak Adventure Series
-
Team Kayak Series
These series recognize both aluminum and Karbonate Ketch Boards as fully legal for competition.
🧲 Trouble Getting Your Ketch ID to Lock?
⚠️ It’s Not Velcro. It’s Not Broken.
Your Ketch ID uses 3M™ Dual-Lock™—not traditional Velcro.
It doesn’t feel sticky or fuzzy, and yes, both sides look nearly identical. That’s normal. You’re not missing a piece. You just need to press the two sides together until they click.
✅ How to Lock It Properly
-
Align the Ketch ID bracket and card holder
-
Push them together firmly—you’ll hear and feel a click when it locks continue until the entire two surfaces are “locked”
-
It’s reusable, super secure, and way tougher than hook-and-loop
-
No fabric = no stink = tournament ready
🎥 Watch It Click

(It’s less than a minute and saves a ton of confusion.)

🌊 Best Boards for Saltwater Use
🏆 Recommended: Ketch Karbonate
If you fish saltwater, the Ketch Karbonate is our top recommendation.
-
Made from ultra-rugged polycarbonate
-
No metal = no corrosion worries
-
Fully resistant to UV damage and salt exposure
It’s lightweight, tough, and built to take abuse from sun, salt, and surf.
✅ Acceptable: Ketch X
The Ketch X board is also a strong saltwater option. It’s aluminum, but not powder-coated, which makes it more resistant to corrosion.
However, long-term UV exposure in salt-heavy environments can eventually fade or dull the anodized finish.
If you’re hard on gear or fish coastal waters year-round, Karbonate is the best bet.
If you want a metal board and rinse it often, X will still serve you well.
⚠️ Not Recommended: Original Powder-Coated Ketch
We don’t recommend our powder-coated Original Ketch Board for saltwater use.
The finish can break down over time in harsh coastal environments, leading to corrosion and cosmetic damage.
🛑 Where Not to Store Your Ketch Board
❌ Inside the Hull = Risky Business
We strongly recommend not storing your Ketch Board inside the hull of your kayak.
Why? Trapped heat and humidity can degrade materials over time—especially in summer—and doing so can void your warranty.
✅ Best Practices for Storage
To extend the life of your board and keep it tournament-ready:
-
Use a Ketch Keeper – Our custom mounting bracket designed to securely hold your board on your kayak or crate.
-
Store it under your seat – If it fits flat and stays dry, under-seat storage is another good option (just avoid crushing or bending it).
The goal? Keep it cool, dry, and accessible. Your board (and your standings) will thank you.
🔁 Standard Colors
If you’re waiting on a regular stock color, hang tight—they’re usually only out of stock for a few days before they’re back in rotation.
We machine and restock those fast to keep up with demand.
🛑 Limited Edition Colors
Limited edition runs are just that—limited.
Most of the time, once they sell out, they’re gone for good.
Occasionally, we’ll bring a fan favorite back by popular demand—but don’t count on it unless you see a restock announcement.
If you love a color, don’t wait. Once it’s gone, it usually stays that way.
📦 Why Hasn’t My Ketch Board Shipped Yet?
🟢 Standard Orders
-
Processing Time: Orders without customization typically ship within 1–2 business days (Monday–Friday, 9 a.m.–4 p.m. CST).
-
Order Cutoff: Orders placed after 12:00 p.m. CST are processed the next business day.
🛠️ Custom Engraved Boards
-
Processing Time: Custom engraved aluminum boards require 2–3 business weeks for processing.
-
Shipping Method: Selecting expedited shipping does not accelerate the engraving process; it only affects the delivery speed after the board has shipped.
🚨 Important Notes on Expedited Shipping
-
Processing vs. Transit: Expedited shipping speeds up the delivery after the order has been processed and handed over to the carrier. It does not expedite our internal processing times.
-
Weekend & Holiday Orders: Orders placed on Friday afternoons, weekends, or before holidays are processed on the next business day.
-
Carrier Guarantees: While carriers like FedEx and UPS offer expedited services, delivery times are not always guaranteed, especially during peak periods or unforeseen delays.
Example: If you place an order at 3 PM on the Friday before a holiday weekend and select 2-day shipping, the order will be processed on the following Tuesday, with delivery expected two business days after processing.
📬 What Should I Do If My Order Seems Lost in Shipping?
We understand how frustrating it is when a package goes missing. Once your order leaves our facility, the shipping carrier you selected at checkout (UPS or USPS) is responsible for delivery.
Occasional delays or routing issues can happen, especially during peak seasons or with address conflicts.
🕵️ Step 1: Check Your Tracking
Use the tracking number we emailed when your order shipped to check the latest status.
-
Look for updates like “In Transit,” “Out for Delivery,” or “Delivered”
-
If it shows as delivered but isn’t there, check around mailboxes, porches, or with neighbors
📞 Step 2: Contact the Carrier Directly
