Ketch Precision engineered bow kayak trolling motor mount for the Bonafide® XTR 130 kayak.

The first in our new generation of motor mounts to accommodate higher thrust 24V and 36V bow mounted trolling motors.

For higher thrust applications plastic simply won’t cut it, and if you’d like to remove the flex from your bow and increase the performance and efficiency of your bow mount motor… this is the solution.

Specifically designed to work with Minn Kota, Motor Guide, Lowrance, and Powerpole motors, and braced to handle the extra power like a champ.

Even though this was designed with higher 80# and 110# motors in mind it still works with the popular MotorGuide Xi3 and MinnKota Terrova kayak variants.

Ketch XTR Bow Motor Mount Compatibility Guide

The Ketch XTR Bow Motor Mount is designed to work with a wide range of motors and quick release brackets. Below is a simple breakdown to help you choose the right setup.

Directly Compatible (no extra hardware needed)

  • Minn Kota MKA-21

  • Minn Kota RTA-17

  • MotorGuide 63

  • MotorGuide 17

  • Garmin Force (tight fit – works, but very snug; Version 2 will feature adjusted hole spacing)

⚡ *Note on Garmin Fit:
The Garmin Force fits, but it’s very tight. Customers should expect a snug install. Start all screws just a little bit, and then rotate tightening each one a little at a time until they are all tightened, like you would putting the lug nuts on a wheel. We’re already working on Version 2 of the XTR Mount, which will include adjusted hole spacing to improve Garmin fitment.

General Rule of Thumb

If you choose the right quick release for your motor, the Ketch XTR will work. All Minn Kota plates work interchangeably with Xi3, Xi5, and Lowrance Recon (and the upcoming Lowrance Scout).
